Moving Projects Forward

As we focus on October in review, we reflect on a dynamic month here at Pier Architects. From progress in demolition at two major sites to advancing new designs, connecting with clients, and celebrating the launch of a public consultation website, we’ve been busy moving our projects forward. Join us for a brief overview on the exciting developments that have kept our team inspired this month.

On-Site Progress: Demolition at Porsche Bristol and Mini Hungerford

This October brought major progress on demolition for both Porsche Bristol and Mini Hungerford, signalling the start of exciting transformations.

At Porsche Bristol, demolition teams have been hard at work clearing the site to make way for a state-of-the-art dealership. Watching this project unfold from the ground up is inspiring, as each step clears space for our vision to come to life. Meanwhile, Mini Hungerford underwent similar changes, with the old site cleared with plans to create a modern, dynamic space that aligns with Mini’s brand. We’re eager to see these visions move into the next phase.

Design Progress: Creating Mini Hungerford’s New Look

Following demolition progress, our design teams focused on Mini Hungerford’s new dealership look. The goal is to create a versatile, engaging space that fully reflects Mini’s brand identity, while adapting it to fit the existing structure. This design will offer a cohesive and inviting experience for all who visit.

Exciting Launch: Junction 16 Consultation Website

A highlight of October was the launch of our public consultation website for the new Mini and BMW dealership at Junction 16—a future landmark project. The website allows community members and stakeholders to explore project details, give feedback, and share ideas. The public’s enthusiasm has been uplifting, and we’re excited to shape the project with community input.

Client Meetings: Ideas and Collaboration

Client collaboration remains central to all we do, and October was filled with productive sessions that sparked new ideas. These discussions provide valuable insights that keep our designs aligned with our clients’ visions. We’re deeply grateful to our clients for their partnership and enthusiasm, which truly drives our best work.

CPD Sessions: Continuing Professional Development

We believe that continuous learning is essential, which is why CPD sessions are a regular part of our work. This month, our team gained insights into roofing, fire safety, and sustainability. A special thank you to our CPD partners including Sika Group, Rockpanel and Acrylicon Flooring for the practical knowledge that supports our future-focused, environmentally friendly designs.

Looking Forward to November

Moving into November, we’re excited about what’s next. With demolition well underway, we’re preparing for the next phase of construction, which includes a major milestone: pouring foundations for Porsche Bristol.

Thank you for following our journey through October. We’re looking ahead to another month of progress, innovation, and collaboration. Here’s to November and all the exciting projects on the horizon!
